OUR MISSION :

HVD’s mission is to advocate on behalf of people with physical disabilities and cognitive impairments in all their forms who require long term care, as well as their informal unpaid caregivers who support them. This advocacy encompasses the protection of rights and the promotion of well-being by endorsing best practices that foster person centered care.

OUR OBJECTIVES :

  • Promote a personalized approach in the implementation and delivery of long term care, which maximizes people’s well-being and physical health
  • Advocate for the implementation of a social model of long term care
