New campaign and website to increase awareness of abuse
Watch for the government's new campaign to raise awareness among members of the public about the many forms of abuse. This awareness initiative is part of a provincial mandate supervised by our CIUSSS, under the direction of SAPA.
The campaign also aims to inform the public of the expanded services of the Adult Elder Abuse Helpline, which in addition to services for seniors, now also offers support and resources to adults in vulnerable situations.
The Senior Adult Abuse Helpline (1-888-489-2287) is an entry point for seniors or vulnerable adults who find themselves in a situation of abuse or who witness it. The Helpline offers resources to health and social service workers as well as professionals in the financial sector.
The Adult Elder Abuse Helpline team also launched a new website with up-to-date information for all groups concerned. To learn more about the provincial campaign, watch this video (french version).
